    1. This and other reviews can be found on The Psychotic NerdI received an ecopy of this book in exchange for an honest review THOUGHTSMy knowledge of Indian mythology is very limited. All my knowledge of Indian mythology basically comes from the Tiger's Curse series (To be honest, my knowledge of mythology from any culture comes from books). So, I really wanted to see more of a lot into this mythology and I ended up diving into a great book! When Callie was a child in India, she was given a skull me [...]

    2. "I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review."THEMESI was really excited for this book since it was hindu-themed story. Never in my life I've read a book with a similar theme, so for me it was something new.I learned a bit of hindu mythology which a liked. As Callie's mother, I also like mythology. As a young teenager I've read two times Schwab's collection of stories from ancient Greece.Aside from the hindu theme, other themes I've noticed were the soc [...]

    3. “Never underestimate a pissed off girl with a sword.”And with that simple phrase, Sabina Khan takes readers on an epic, whirlwind adventure in her debut novel, Realm of the Goddess.Set both in the United States and India, REALM is the fast-paced, coming-into-herself tale of Callie and her Rakshakari, Shiv. Khan’s rich writing, detailed descriptions, and well-developed characters enthrall the reader as they follow Callie from the halls of her high school to the jungles of India. The dialogu [...]

    4. I love mythology fantasy books and Sabina Khan's realm of the goddess did not disappoint. Filled with Indian gods and goddesses and angsty teenagers in a gripping, fast paced plot to save the world, what else could you ask for?? Well besides MORE!! good news, this is the first of a series so we lucked out!I love take charge of your destiny heroines in YA because I want the younger generation to find themselves emulating that sort of mindset to not just let things happen to you, to be part of it [...]

    5. I really enjoyed this story, it was interesting and had lots of action and surprise twists. It was fun to see Callie grow as the story progressed and she started on her quest. I can't wait to see what she does next!

    6. I loved reading about the gods, godessess, and demons of the ancient hindu religion. It is an excellent read about the rich culture, traaditions, and foods of India.I liked that Callie did not need Shiv to rescue her out of the situations and that she was a strong, independent girl.

    7. Fun read. Romancing the Stone and Indiana Jones but with a female protagonist. Loads of mystery, adventure, mythology and romance. Great for young adults currently enjoying "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Hunger Games".

    8. I liked that this story has a strong female protagonist and I also found the Hindu mythology very interesting. There is plenty of suspense and action, as well as a bit of romance. An enjoyable read.

    9. Hey guys, so I just finished Realm of the Goddess by Sabina Khan and whew.ngodsat went by rapidly. Seriously, the entire story was fast paced, like one moment the main character is doing one thing, then next she is like onto tomorrow afternoon or something. I think the author writing in such a rushed fashion hindered and helped the story. For one, the travel scenes werent too much of a bore, however, I would have liked some more interaction between Shiv and CallieG I love Shiv. He is justmhmmmmer [...]

    10. Realm of the Goddess is about a 17 year old Indian girl named Callie. Callie has had a fairly average life, until one day she introduces herself to the new (very attractive) boy in school, Shiv. Shortly after meeting this mysterious boy, Callie's parents go missing and she is attacked by an actual demon, only to be saved at the last minute by the heroic Shiv. After this shocking turn of events, Callie is understandably confused and upset. Without anywhere else to go, Callie turns to Shiv and his [...]

    11. Starting right off the bat with fluid writing and a strong character voice, Realm of the Goddess is a very unique book with action, adventure and romance. Callie is the vessel of the Hindu goddess of many arms, Kali. Destined to save the world from evil, and in the process save her family and best friend. A unique concept for a young adult novel. This is the first Hindu mythology YA novel I have encountered up to date so it was truly unique. It was very interesting and smooth read. The character [...]

    12. This is a very interesting book which introduces the reader to Indian mythology. After reading this, I want to know more about Indian culture and I want some Indian food (some very yummy sounding food is described). I really like the main character Callie. Think about all those heroines who can't think of anything else except for their love interest, no matter if the world is about to end. She gets distracted only for a short time (she is a teenager after all) but then she focuses on the main pr [...]

    13. Are u f ing kidding me?This book is full of crap you shouldn't do as the main character. (The demons are in this warehouse.let's just walk in the front door without backup.) Or (the pendant glows when she's in real danger) but she dismisses every warning like it's only a bug buzzing in her ear. There's no romance between her and shiv when there should be. She is too stupid to see Ben is in love with her. She really doesn't show much friendship with Ben yet at the end she picks Ben over shiv and [...]

    14. DNF at 20% Realm of the Goddess has been sitting on my currently-reading shelf for awhile now. I picked it up in January and read the first bit in a few sittings. I was so excited when I stumbled across this book for the first time. I mean, it's an urban fantasy novel that incorporates Hindu mythology into the fantasy lore and it's written by an Indian woman and about an Indian protagonist. That's fucking awesome. It's so rare to come across fantasy books featuring characters of color, much less [...]

    15. I love books that are based off of mythology so the plot for this book caught my attention immediately. I never knew that much about Indian mythology and was eager to learn. Having known the author through some friends I went into this book with low expectations however they were blown away. The first couple pages drew me in immediatly, the writing so detailed and vivid I felt as if I was there myself. I could barely put it down. This book also made me search the Internet in order to find some d [...]

    16. In Realm of the Goddess a YA novel by Sabina Khan, sixteen year old Callie discovers that she is actually an incarnation of the goddess Kali and she must now prepare to defeat a host of demons determined to bring the world into chaos. An awesome adventure story that hooks you in and refuses to let go until the shocking conclusion.More please! If you're interested in hearing more of my thoughts check out my video review!youtu/JYlNjLhFauY Sincerely,Kayti Nika RaetAuthor of the Outsider Chronicles

    17. Callie has been plagued by bad dreams for years, off and on, but she thought moving from Kolkata to Seattle had put an end to the torment. It turns out that was only a temporary reprieve: as the story begins, Callie’s nights are again disturbed by violent scenes from ancient battles.Unusual urban fantasy with Hindi mythology and an Indian-American heroine.Full review: strangecharmbooks/2015/1

    18. Realm of The Goddess is an entertaining book for all ages not just young adults. At times it could be a young love story and at others it was a adventure with creatures. The mixture of both is what made the book and that is why I am giving it a 4.5/5.

    19. Fascinating mythology, lots of action and journeys to remote islands all make Realm of the Goddess a great read. I would recommend it to anyone who loves adventure and intrigue.
